Source
Cyanide (CN) is extremely toxic and is not commonly found at significant levels in drinking water. Cyanide is normally found in waste water from metal finishing operations. The US EPA has not classified cyanide as a carcinogen(致癌物质) because of inadequate data. No MCL level established or even proposed.
Treatment
Chlorine feed, retention, and filtration will break down the cyanide. Reverse osmosis or electrodialysis will remove 90 - 95% of it.
